Eco-Friendly Geopolymer Composites Prepared from Agro-Industrial Wastes: A State-of-the-Art Review

چکیده
Portland cement (PC) is a common material used in civil infrastructure engineering. Cement production emits roughly 2.2 billion tons of CO2 per year, contributing 8% global emissions 2016. This contributes to almost half the calcination process, and together with thermal combustion, clinker generation could be responsible for 90% sector’s emissions. One effective technique dealing these industrial by-product wastes employ them make replacements such as concrete mortar, which can variety applications. As result, purpose this research review current advancements, challenges, future perspectives on utilization agro-industrial waste (AIW) produced around world cement-based products. Geopolymers (GPs), other hand, reduce carbon dioxide have potential complete or partial replacement PC construction sector. The GP technology enables use AIW combination an alumina–silicate (A–S) phase minimal environmental impact. GP-cement mostly by activating alkali silicates sols secondary raw materials calcined clays, fly ash (FA), zeolite, metakaolin, etc. Mixing various resource materials, including additives, A–S, sols, concentrations, optimizing curing temperature, SiO2/Na2O ratio, microstructural behavior, factors, results outstanding mechanical durability characteristics. concludes that AIW-based geopolymer composites shown promising terms their properties, durability, sustainability, makes emerge building applications wide range industries.

Use of Agro-Industrial Wastes in Solid-State Fermentation Processes
Large amount of wastes is generated every year from the industrial processing of agricultural raw materials. Most of these wastes are used as animal feed or burned as alternative for elimination. However, such wastes usually have a composition rich in sugars, minerals and proteins, and therefore, they should not be considered “wastes” but raw materials for other industrial processes. The presen...

Agricultural residues are rich in bioactive compounds. These residues can be used as an alternate source for the production of different products like biogas, biofuel, mushroom, and tempeh as the raw material in various researches and industries. The use of agro-industrial wastes as raw materials can help to reduce the production cost and also reduce the pollution load from the environment. Agr...
متن کاملBiotechnological Production of Xylitol from Agro-Industrial Wastes
Xylitol is a polyalcohol of five carbon atoms which is widely used in the food and chemical industry. Its interest is due to the sweetening power similar to that of sucrose. However, it has been shown that the use of xylitol as a sweetener is better due to its anticariogenecity, tooth rehardening and remineralization properties. It is suitable as sugar substitute for diabetics, and it limits th...

Pullulans produced from the Aureobasidium pullulans fermentation of various agro-industrial wastes were characterised in terms of carbohydrate analysis. heterogeneity and molecular weights. Grape skin pulp extract (GSPE), starch waste (SW), olive oil waste effluents (OW) and molasses (M) were used as substrates for the production of pullulan. A glucose based defined medium (D) was used for comp...
متن کاملEco-Toxicity Dynamics in Compost Prepared From Organic Wastes
Waste accumulation is reported to be one of the serious environmental problems. Organic wastes such as organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW) or sewage sludge (SS) can be treated using aerobic microbial decomposition called composting. It is important to know when composts obtained in co-treatment processes turns to be safe but not toxic for the environment. In this study, we estimat...
